Less than one month to go until the G.C.E. O Levels results are out. Your hard work over the last 10 or 11 years will be revealed to you in just under one month. Are you ready? Have you thought about what is next for you? Have you decided where you are going?

Pre-University

Pre-University education prepares students for the GCE A-Level examination or International Baccalaureate at the end of the 2-year course in Junior Colleges or the 3-year course in Millennia Institute.

Polytechnics (Diploma)

Polytechnics were set up with the mission to train professionals to support the technological and economic development of Singapore. Catering to the wide range of abilities, aptitudes and interests of their students, the polytechnics seek to train students with relevant and specific skills for the workplace, to give Singapore a competitive edge. Today, polytechnic graduates are valued as practice-oriented and knowledgeable professionals, much sought after by industries.

There are currently five polytechnics in Singapore:

Institute of Technical Education (ITE)

ITE is a post-secondary education institution that provides GCE N- and O-Level graduates with a wide range of full-time and traineeship courses. The authentic learning at ITE equips students with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in their careers.

ITE offers a wide range of courses to secondary school graduates and working adults, in the areas of Applied & Health Sciences, Business & Services, Design & Media, Electronics & Info-Comm Technology, Engineering and Hospitality. GCE O-Level graduates may apply for 2-year Nitec or Higher Nitec courses. Refer to ITE’s website for more information on the various pathways available.

Publicly-Funded Arts Institutions

LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) are specialised arts institutions that offer programmes in the visual arts and performing arts. All diploma programmes, and selected degree programmes offered at LASALLE and NAFA are publicly-funded. These publicly-funded degree programmes at LASALLE and NAFA are offered in partnership with reputable overseas universities. University Foundation Programmes

The St. Andrew’s College Cambridge (SACC) is located in heart of Cambridge, England and provides you with a list of University Foundation programmes which will enable you to enter into Universities in the United Kingdom. Studying in Cambridge will provide you with the added inspiration and motivation to excel in your studies.

The London Institute of Skills Development (LISD) provides you with an affordable pathway to the University!

The Level 3 University Foundation Programme is a 120 credit qualification (equivalent to A levels). The programme meets the requirement to enter a university.

The contents help students to learn key concepts and a range of management procedures required to work within a business, it has been specifically developed to provide the knowledge required for students to work effectively, both as individuals and in teams within the business. Being able to develop good business management skills is crucial for any company.

The University Foundation Programme (Level 3 Diploma Business Management) is made up of 6 modules and 6 written assignments, each module consists of approximately 40 guided learning hours.

While completing the Programme, students will have access to various study resources, such as tutor support and webinars, a social learning forum, and additional materials to help in the completion of their graduate business course.

Upon completion of this course, students receive an ATHE Level 3 Business Management qualification (Equivalent to A-Levels) which is fully regulated by Ofqual. Students will then have the opportunity to apply for admission onto a full Undergraduate Degree programme from a range of the UK or other international universities.

The University Foundation programme can be completed 100% Online learning through dynamic LISD Student Portal includes, Video lectures, Reading material, PPTs, Case-Studies, Simulations, Quizzes, Assignments, and Tutor 1-2-1 interaction through Skype or Zoom.

The full fees for the Online programme is £4,500 (approximately SGD$8,000) which can be paid in 3 instalments.
