Flexibility
You can study at your convenience! Some prefer to be in a classroom setting when it comes to learning but I know there are you out there who prefers the flexibility to study when you want to study. You know the deadlines so you are in control. As long as you set aside a minimum of 15 hours per week on studying the course materials, I believe you are in a good position to do well.
As adult learners, we can’t really afford to study full-time on campus. Online study provide us with pathways to reaching our goals of upgrading without taking time off from work. I know it would be great if we could study full-time but we do need to consider our financial responsibilities. Studying for our degrees online means we can still work, pay our bills and upgrade ourselves so that we can better our situations.
To study online, you need access to a laptop (if you are on the move) or a desktop (if you are at home). Actually, most of us use laptops now whether we are outside or at home. You will need to ensure you have wifi and that’s it! You will have access to all the resources and learning platforms you will need. Whether you choose to study on a laptop or desktop, you decide.
Affordability
When we study to upgrade ourselves, one of the most, if not the most important consideration is cost! Studying online is really affordable. Some universities offer regional discounts to help you with achieving your dreams. They also provide instalment payment arrangements available so that you do not have to pay a large sum of money at the start. You can spread the cost over the duration of your degree study. I always find this a great motivation for signing up! Don’t you?
Confidence and Assurance
Why confidence you may ask? Many potential students don’t want to consider studying for their degrees online because they feel that the certificate is not as recognised as one that was gained by stuying on campus. Well, online degrees are similar to the ones you gained on campus. They are designed by qualified lecturers and approved for teaching by the University. The courses are also accredited by professional bodies!
Some examples are:
- Bristish Psychological Society (BPS),
- Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA),
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA),
