It is always a challenge to plan the week’s dinners especially as the daughter is somewhat vegetarian for 4 days in a week, but I think I have that sorted out this week! Maybe…
I have decided to go with a Country/Continent-themed scheme that will guide me with my planning.
Monday
Monday is Asian. Asian dishes usually have not one but a few plates of dishes on the table. Diners would then choose what they would like and add them to their main dish, which is usually either rice or noodles. On their own, they can a main dish (Fried Rice, Fried Noodles, Noodles Soup etc…)
I decided on a more traditional set (Quick and Easy) for presentation to my ever “adoring fans”, yeah right!
- Fried Egg Noodles (chilli padi by the side for the parents)
- Cheese Tofu
- Cheese Sausages
- Fried eggs
Tuesday
Tuesday is inspired by my trip to Barcelona, La Rambla to be more precise. The smells of Rotisserie Chicken filled the air, drawing us to the glass window to have a closer look. Not going to a Rotisserie Chicken, I am going to do a Roast Chicken.
Wednesday
Wednesday is inspired by the American invention, the BURGER. But I am not going to use Beef. The menu will feature, the Chicken.
Thursday
Today, the menu has to be simple, Italian, but simple. I am home with the kids without their mom so I need a quick fix for meals.
- Hawaiian Pizza
- Cheese Pizza
Friday
Friday for us will be inspired by England. I will have to prepare lunch as well as school is closed today for Children’s Day!
Lunch
- Bangers and Mash
- Mac and Cheese
Dinner
So let’s see how the dishes come out. I will take a picture of each and post it for your viewing and maybe you can give me some tips on presentation?
